Teachers are usually damn stupid though they think students are no good at all. Are these teachers still there to teach you something you never understand? Why we spend so much money and time, and what we get is not proportionately equal to what we spend?

20 years ago,I studied in the department of mechanical engineering.I was not a good student then.Every year,I was always on the verge of being kicked out from the school.My academic performance was really bad. As a result, I was kicked out in the end of the fourth grade.However, the funny thing is that I was dropped out not because my school grade, but because the shool authority couldn't tolerate my misconducts such as not wearing the leather shoes in the morning meeting, always being late for class, and so on.It is a pity of not being able to stay there to complete my study. But I still miss those days. Being dropped out from Tun-nan is a turning point in my life.Anyway, I don't blame what the shool had done to me. It was I who was to be blamed at that time. The whole story would be very different if it was not the case. Now, I am carrying on my doctoral study somewhere in Europe. I think I will go to Tun-nan again to see things I used to be familiar with. Bye-bye.

【故事】

以前有個生物學家，他做了一個實驗，他將一群跳蚤放入
實驗用的大量杯裡，上面蓋上一片透明玻璃，他發現跳蚤的
習性非常愛跳，於是很多跳蚤都撞上了蓋上的玻璃，不斷的
發出叮叮咚咚的聲音（跳蚤的頭撞上玻璃的聲音）。過了一
陣子，生物學家，將玻璃片拿開，發現竟然所有的跳蚤依然
在跳，只是都已經將跳的高度調至接近玻璃即煞車，以避免
撞到頭。（是既能滿足跳躍的本性，又能不撞痛頭）於是竟
然沒有一隻跳出來，依它們的能力不是跳不出來，只是它們
已經適應了環境。
後來生物學家，就在試驗杯下，放了一個酒精燈並且點上
了火。不到五分鐘，量杯燒熱了，所有的跳蚤自然發揮求生
的本能，每隻跳蚤再也不管頭是否會撞痛（因為它們都以為
還有玻璃罩），全部都跳出量杯以外。本試驗證明，跳蚤會
為了適應環境，不願改變習性，寧願降低才能，封閉潛能去
適應，真是沒有智慧的動物。

【故事引喻】

如果將跳蚤變成人類，如果把量杯變成家庭或社會。是否我
們也會為了適應環境，又不願改變習性，而甘願降低才能，
封閉潛能而去適應呢？！環境是人們自己創造的，也是人們
自己走進去被他困住的；環境的壓力是無所不在的，它會減
弱，但是它不會消失，我們不能一直壓抑自己，萎縮自己來
適應它，我們應該激發潛能，開發新知識去迎合它的需求。
哦！也許我們也像跳蚤一樣，需要來自腳下的一把火，這
是一把外來的火，一把來自人群、鼓勵、肯定、關懷、指導
，乃至機會的火，也許你需要一個好老師，他會告訴你朝哪
個方向走會成功。也許你需要一些好朋友（不斷在進步的，
而非一成不變的）來提攜你、輔佐你，乃至給你機會。但是
你想過沒有，如果你的習性不改---貪玩、懶惰、不學無術，
迷信自己有限的才能而自負、自大，不願意走出來，彎下腰
，去參與人群，去與人群學習（凡人要跟賢人學，賢人要跟
聖人學，聖人要跟眾人學）。學習被人鼓勵，學習鼓勵人，
學習從別人的需要，看到自己才能發揮的空間，為自己創造
機會，時時添注生命無窮希望，則天下再也沒有困得住你的
量杯了。

主旨：五隻猴子的故事

一個猴子實驗如下：

> 把五隻猴子關在一個籠子裡 籠子上頭有一串香蕉
> 實驗人員裝了一個自動裝置 若是偵測到有猴子要去拿香蕉

我是第七屆二年制機械工程科的學生,雖然常因為被問到自己是就讀哪個學校而被取笑,但我一直認為東南是最好的,雖然東南有攙雜一些老鼠屎但不致於影響整鍋粥,東南依然能塑造出最優秀的人才,奉勸那些愛作怪的東南人,不要讓外人取笑我們,而是我們要做給別人看 東南有多行,東南有多棒』,在此也問候一下許久未見的班導--寬泓 老師,陳應琮 老師,楊強生 老師(雖然在校時常聽學生講你多嚴格,但我覺得有嚴師才能教出好學生),以及一直在東南默默付出的老夫子們。
